Total Floating Systems is a New Zealand owned and operated company that was established in 2006 to manufacture pre-cast concrete floating pontoons, beams, and panels. Whilst the company is new to the pre-cast concrete manufacturing market, it can boast to have a number of staff with a wealth of experience and knowledge in casting concrete items. Total Floating Systems specialise in the manufacturing of floating concrete pontoons and can custom make pontoons to suit any size and shape.
Total Floating Systems can supply different types of floating pontoons systems to suit the location, environment and need of the end user. The different types of floating pontoons systems can vary depending on the wave climate, costs, application and use. The standard benchmark for floating pontoons in New Zealand is precast concrete pontoons and these are generally suitable in most marine environments. Where conditions permit plastic pontoons are a further option and these are highly recommended when a degree of flexibility in the pontoon structure is required.
A further option which is a new development in floating concrete pontoons systems in New Zealand is the Ali-crete pontoon system. The Ali-crete pontoon system is a low maintenance system where traditional timber and galvanised steel is replaced with aluminum, rubber and concrete. Total Floating Systems have installed these pontoons in the Whangaroa Marina and Viaduct Harbour, Auckland and it is envisaged that this system is to become the future bench mark for pre-cast concrete pontoons.
